Our Complementary Treatment Options Set Us Apart
At Kainer Veterinary Clinic, we believe in a well-rounded approach to pet care that includes safe, effective complementary treatments that can be used alone or in conjunction with traditional modalities.
Complementary therapies can help promote pain relief and healing for pets suffering from a wide range of conditions. Often, these treatments can shorten the length of time that an animal needs prescription pain killers or can eliminate the need for medications altogether.
We are pleased to offer our pet patients the following treatments:
- Cold Laser Therapy is a highly effective tool for pain management. Cold therapy lasers stimulate the cells in the body to promote healing and relieve pain without cutting through tissue like surgical lasers. Laser therapy is highly beneficial for older pets with arthritis, pets that are unable to tolerate pain medications, and pets that have undergone surgery.
- Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM) is a healing modality that is similar to human chiropractic care. VOM uses a handheld device to deliver a targeted, precise thrust of force to help realign subluxations. The procedure is simple, effective, and will not harm your pet.
- Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on an animal’s body to elicit a healing response by stimulating nerves and increasing circulation. Acupuncture also triggers the release of endorphins, which are chemicals in the body that relieve pain and stress.
