High Standards in Surgical Care
When your pet needs surgery, the experienced doctors and staff at Kainer Veterinary Hospital are committed to providing the highest standards of care in top-notch, AAHA-accredited surroundings.
Our Procedures
We use safe, advanced surgical techniques and procedures to help ensure the best possible outcome for your pet. Additionally, prior to all surgeries, we will do bloodwork to check for any hidden conditions that could compromise your pet’s safety, and we always adhere to the strictest anesthesia protocols issued by AAHA.
Some common procedures we perform include:
- Spaying/neutering
- Mass and tumor removal
- Removal of foreign objects
- Dental surgery
- Amputation
- Soft tissue procedures, such as laparoscopy and cystoscopy
Pets needing orthopedic surgeries will be referred to a board-certified specialist in our area.
Pain Management
If your pet requires post-operative pain management, Dr. Kainer will create a treatment plan customized for your pet’s individual needs. Dr. Kainer might suggest a combination of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and complementary treatments so that your pet can enjoy a recovery that is as pain-free as possible.
Any surgery, whether a routine spay or neuter or a more serious procedure can be stressful for pets and their families. We are here to answer any questions you might have before, during, and after your pet’s procedure, and we will send your pet home with thorough instructions for post-op care.
